Beaumont.—On the night of 4–5 March about 150 Chouans gathered at Pierrefitte (Pierrefitte-en-Auge) and St Hymer and committed robberies, after which they took refuge in the Château de Reux. Complains of the behaviour of the soldiers of the 3e Compagnie franche, who did not conform to their duty of fighting the Chouans.
