Scope and content
Most of these letters were written at Bank House, Yarmouth, or at the home of one or other of the writer’s sisters. A2/1 was written while staying with Elizabeth and Sarah Fitton in Hastings, A2/11 at the home of William and Katherine Simpson (Hannah’s aunt and uncle) in Norwich, A2/25 at the home of Henry Hallam, the historian, at Molesey. It is not known with whom she was staying when she wrote from Blackheath in May 1833 (A2/9).
